Anna Davies is a Leeds based sculptor and kinetic artist.
Anna's sculptural practice exists as a record of highly personalised subjects and events. Each specific work explores a particular burden, or thought, experienced as a result of being a millennial woman, such as the need to respond to the shifting parameters of moral, sexual, ethical, or gender-related codes of behaviour.

Sex, usually of a casual nature, is a strong recurrent theme in Anna's work. Her practice reflects the implications of overt sexuality in women's lives. Though young women often get labelled as crude or accused of over-sharing for discussing sex, Anna's work hopes to start conversations about sex that could destigmatise these topics.

One strong affective influence on Anna's practice are the conversations she has with others. Although her practice is very much autobiographical she focuses greatly on shared thought and experience, and the idea of unity through the trauma and ordeals, common in womanhood.
